VHH Annual Housing Forum
March 18th, 2026 at Vashon Center for the Arts
Join us on Wednesday, March 18 for Vashon HouseHold’s 2026 Housing Forum—an evening dedicated to exploring bold, practical pathways to expand affordable and innovative housing options on Vashon, hosted at the Vashon Center for the Arts, sponsored by Puget Sound Energy.
The event begins with a 4:30–6:00PM ADU Open House to learn more about accessory dwelling unit (ADU) pathways, new septic options, permitting, and new opportunities for homeowners interested in contributing to Vashon’s housing solutions. Currently confirmed to attend and share resources at the Open House portion are King County Public Health, Septic Sisters, and Puget Sound Energy. We will add more resource organizations as we confirm!
At 6:00PM, we’ll move into the Housing Forum, a community conversation about how Vashon and King County can work together to increase the island’s supply of affordable and non-traditional housing. We’ll look at tools, policies, and partnerships that can help us build the housing our community urgently needs. We are honored to welcome Councilmember Teresa Mosqueda, who will join us to discuss county-level strategies and support for innovative, community-driven housing solutions.
Whether you're a homeowner, renter, builder, policy-curious resident, or simply passionate about Vashon’s future, this is an invaluable chance to learn, ask questions, and help shape the next steps toward a more affordable and sustainable island!
This is a FREE community event. All are welcome to participate, but we ask you to register so we can learn more about your priorities and have a better sense of our attendance.
